About Invisalign® First
In 2018, Invisalign released a clear aligner system designed for patients ages 7-10 years old called Invisalign First or Invisalign First Phase. This clear aligner treatment provides predictable results and positive experiences while addressing the unique needs of growing children.
Invisalign First can help treat:
- Aesthetic alignment
- A bad bite
- Arch development
- Preserving space for unerupted permanent teeth
A happier experience
With removable aligners, there’s not much interruption to your child’s life. They can even continue to eat foods that they love. Plus, the aligners are specifically designed to fit smaller teeth and include space to accommodate teeth that are growing in.
A simple start
Invisalign First treatment starts with a simple digital scan (no goopy impressions). From there, every step of your child’s plan is plotted digitally, so you know what to expect.
Made for all sorts of smiles
Invisalign First clear aligners can fix a wide range of issues, including crowding, spacing, and narrow dental arches.
Keep your child's hygiene routine
Growing children can continue to brush and floss without the hassle and keep their good hygiene habits on track.
Talk to us about Invisalign for kids
Your child needs to wear their aligners for at least 22 hours each day, as recommended by Dr. Wood so they can do their job and straighten their teeth. But, with Invisalign, they can remove your aligners for special occasions.
Like with traditional braces, they’ll generally need to wear a retainer after Invisalign treatment to maintain their new alignment—and their confident new smile.
Dr. Wood may not recommend Invisalign for some more complex alignment or bite issues, or for those who have bridgework. Schedule a free consultation with Dr. Wood at any of our Oread Orthodontics locations to learn if Invisalign is right for your child.
