Dr. Brent Wood completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science in genetics. From there, he pursued a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a Specialist in Orthodontics certificate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Lawrence braces
Consisting of metal or clear braces that are attached to your teeth, traditional braces are of one the most trusted and efficient treatment options we offer. Of course, for the process to work correctly, you have to come in for regular adjustment appointments with Dr. Wood. This will gradually move the teeth into their improved positions.

Overall treatment time can be slightly reduced because traditional braces sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might. In addition, braces don’t require some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can. Lawrence Invisalign®
Adults, teens, and orthodontists love the Invisalign® system, making it the most popular alternative to traditional braces. The Lawrence Invisalign system doesn’t use brackets and bands, but instead uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment.
Your Invisalign aligners will be custom-made from a clear, comfortable, nearly invisible plastic material and they’ll fit snuggly over your teeth. They’re usually switched out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. This ensures that your teeth are making steady progress in the right direction. Aligners must be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment for them to do their job. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed can add time to the orthodontic process, and might also experience negative effects on the results.
